Valentine’s Day means different things to each of us; a romantic
get-away, that special gift, flowers, candy, with card, or simply just spending
the day together. Then there are others
who think it’s just a commercial gimmick to pressure you into emptying your
pockets. Regardless of your perspective
about Valentine’s Day; it is a day to remind you to LOVE YOURSELF!
For us it is a special day; as this is the date in 1997 when
we became a couple. There was group that
decided to go to the West End in downtown Dallas for happy hour/dinner and then
enjoy the live entertainment; however everyone except four backed out in the
last minute. That left Jerry and I (both
single) and a couple that just announced their engagement… and the rest is
history in the making.
We have done all the things mentioned above; but in time realized we just enjoy spending the day together. After all; it’s that what you really want –
time with your love one!

Sherri and I are doing just that. We are spending the day together at the V A Hospital. I am here getting a check up.
ReplyDeleteWell doesn't that sound like a lovely day - lol. I've not recalled one day at the VA a lovely day, especially if it was Dallas. Way too big of a place. Anywho, we hope you got an excellent report and all is well. We landed in Quartzsite, AZ a couple of weeks ago, so hope we are done with the VA for a while. - Deb
